✋ How to raise a hand in Microsoft Teams? 🙌
In Microsoft Teams , it is very easy to raise your hand and put it back down during a meeting or class. This feature is useful when, for example, you want to ask a question, make a comment or indicate that you want to say something.
Here's how to do it:
- Click on the "Raise your hand" icon at the bottom of the screen during a meeting or class. The icon looks like a hand pointing up.
- You will now see a message that says "Your hand has been raised." Other participants in the meeting or class will see a notification that you have raised your hand.
- If you want, you can bring your hand down by clicking the "Raise your hand" icon again.
That's all there is to it! It's really that simple. This way, everyone in the meeting or class can know you have a question or comment, and the presenter or teacher can lead the discussion efficiently.
If you are using Teams on a mobile device, the process is similar. Just click on the "Raise your hand" icon at the bottom of the screen and follow the same steps.
So the next time you have a question at a Teams meeting or class, all you have to do is raise your hand and the rest will be taken care of for you!

Lower everyone's hand in Microsoft Teams
Lower everyone's hand or (lower all hands) in Microsoft Teams allows you to lower all hands with the push of a button. This is a useful feature when you are requesting votes or participation but also want to get ahead quickly and launch a 2nd vote.
At the top of the participants, press the 3 dots, then select "lower all hands."
Hello Jasper, is it true that the "hand" cannot be used on the iPad and iPhone and it is also not visible that others raise a hand?
Many thanks in advance for your response!
That's right, unfortunately. There is a uservoice to vote for this feature here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/40453573-add-the-raise-your-hand-feature-to-ipad-iphone-mob
