Starting in January 2022, Microsoft Teams will support the ability of its users to stream their Teams meetings and webinars to a large audience via the new real-time messaging protocol (RTMP).
This new feature is an answer to the complex OBS configuration that is often used as an alternative.
The renewed RTMP Streaming will simplify the user experience within Microsoft Teams . It will also stabilise the Teams environment, which was a challenge before. I am curious how this new feature will be received.
This article will soon contain tips on how to get started with RTMP streaming within Microsoft Teams.
How to activate RTMP streaming with PowerShell?
With the following command in PowerShell you can activate the LiveStreamingMode in the Microsoft Teams Powershell Console.
