Microsoft 365 F3! Former F1 licence

Microsoft 365 F1 (new)

Microsoft 365 F1 (new) will be rolled out from 1 April 2020 and will form the basis of a secure and connected experience for Firstline Workers.

It includes products such as Microsoft Teams,SharePoint, Yammer, Stream and Enterprise Mobility & Security.

These services are not included: Windows 10E3, Windows Virtual Desktop Rights, Forms, OneDrive for Business Storage, PowerAutomate & PowerApps (included in F3)

This subscription costs $4 per user per month.

Microsoft 365 F3 (updated)

Microsoft 365 F3 (updated) has been renamed from "Microsoft 365 F1" to "Microsoft 365 F3" as of 1 April 2020 .

It includes all the features of the new frontline plan, plus additional possibilities for improving the working environment productivity and innovation.

This subscription costs $10 per user per month.

Fan F1 to F3?

All current F1 licences will be automatically changed to F3 licences. This is 100% rebranding, no functional changes -> but a name change.

A comparison of the new licences

As you can see Exchange yellow is no longer part of the new Microsoft 365 F1. The focus for better collaboration goes entirely to Microsoft Teams!

A perfect scenario are remote workers who consult documents. The big advantage of the licence is lots of functionality for a relatively low price.

The new F1 is not for users who have their own device with Windows 10. It is for remote users with a tablet or smartphone.

There is no OneDrive for business for the new F1 licences. However, it is possible to save documents on Microsoft Teams.

Office 365 Business Essentials is now Microsoft 365 Business Basic
Office 365 Business Premium is now Microsoft 365 Business Standard
Microsoft 365 Business is now Microsoft 365 Business Premium
Office 365 Business is now Microsoft 365 Apps for business
Office 365 ProPlus is now Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
