🧍 How to delete yourself with a guest account in another Microsoft Teams organization?

Everyone uses Microsoft Teams and likes to send invitations to all their contacts.

After a while, you will have access to 20 different tenants and will also be sent notifications and documents.

Not always safe or desirable, right? It seems good to me that when accesses are unused, you can clean yourself up 🙂 .

There are 2 methods for removing yourself from another tenant.

• You can ask to remove your accesses. The IT Admin or team owner will remove you.
• Or you can remove yourself from a guesttenant following this procedure.

Open the organizations you belong to through MyApps

You cannot perform this action from Microsoft Teams -> Browse to https://myapps.microsoft.com

Select top right -> organizations -> choose bottom -> Manage organizations.

Remove your own (guest) access to other Office 365 organizations

Select -> leave organization.

After you perform this, the tenant you parted with will no longer be listed at the top right in Microsoft Teams.

Deleting a guest (from Microsoft Teams) in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)

If you can no longer log in as a guest because the things below have changed, it often helps to delete the guest account from Azure AD. Then this account will be automatically removed from Microsoft Teams . After the removal, you can add the guest again to Microsoft Teams.

• The UserPrincipalname (logonname) has changed: If the UPN (source) has changed, the relationship is broken between the division of tenant to where you wish to connect. (target)
• Security enhancements such as Multi-factor authentication. Sometimes authentication fails after enforcing new policies or policies. One solution is to grant a new guest access, i.e. remove the guest account from Azure AD.

These adjustments can only be done by an IT Administrator with Global Administrator rights in the Office 365 Tenant. Navigate to: Azure AD, press Users, select the desired guest user.

Press: Delete user.

Removing your profile from Microsoft Edge

After deleting your account, your profile might still be visible in Microsoft Edge.

In doing so, press at the top: Manage profile settings and delete your profile.
